Meet Angel
With a dynamic voice and soulful elegance, Angel Burgess is an exceedingly talented musician with a unique fusion of the sounds of Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Natalie Cole, and Chaka Khan.
Encouraged by her artistic family to sing from a young age, Angel was exposed to a palette of traditional, alternative, rock, jazz, Latin, soul, and gospel music which she now synthesizes to create her colorful mosaic of sound.
Angel’s career is rich in diverse experiences, and after capturing the attention of world-renowned entertainer MC Hammer, she immediately began touring with him as a featured vocalist and backup singer. Appearing on two top ten singles, Goin Up Yonder, and Keep On, Angel has performed on a variety of nationally televised shows and music videos including Soul Train, The Arsenio Hall Show, BET’s Video Soul, Trinity Broadcasting Network, and The Stellar Awards.
Angel has shared the stage with artists including Stevie Wonder, Yolanda Adams, De La Soul, Charlie Wilson, and CeCe Winans. She has enjoyed touring around the world and has performed to international acclaim in Japan, Korea, Barbados, and India. Currently, Angel is preparing to release one of her most creative, innovative, spirit-led, and musically rich albums.
