The Drake Hotel
Molly & Angelo met while working together at NBC in South Bend, IN, and they chose one of our very favorite ballrooms for their wedding day, the Gold Coast Room at the Drake.
From our first conversation together, we knew that this party merging Irish, German, and Sicilian traditions was going to be off the charts! There were so many special moments to remember: Artistrings pop string quartet kicked things off for cocktail hour, family friend and tenor Tony Milioto brought down the house with O Sole Mio and Nessun Dorma during dinner, dancing featured an extended tarantella for all guests to enjoy, and we learned Allentown/Billy Joel for Angelo’s home town. Check out Angelo and his dad singing a special Italian song together – the sweetest moments ever!
Molly & Angelo wanted to celebrate with an East-Coast style (New York style) wedding, so once we entered the Gold Coast Room for dinner service, we got everyone up to dance for a few minutes. We love how a NY style wedding gets the energy of the wedding up from the minute the reception starts, it’s so much fun! Here’s an uncut video clip of part of this dance set, so you can see how we transition between tunes to keep everyone on the floor.
We featured this smaller 8 piece band for dancing between courses, and then our Unplugged vocal quartet with acoustic guitar and cajon during dinner service. For dancing after dinner, we expanded to the full 11 piece band (with horn section). More video coming up soon, and our most sincere thanks to Nicole Zenner and her team from LK Events for making everything so easy 🙂

The University Club of Chicago
Little “Happy Feet” stole the show!
Artistrings had a little recording party and laid down a bunch of new pop tracks. You can check ’em out in our soundcloud player, but here’s a little (funky) video to get things started.

Juliana & Tom planned such a fun wedding day, from start to finish….beginning with the Artistrings string quartet playing a mixture of romantic classical music and the most current pop hits. They recessed to On Top Of The World by Imagine Dragons, and guests enjoyed cocktails on the Plateau.
Dinner was New York style, with dancing between courses. Tom’s dad is a fantastic drummer, and even agreed to sit in with us on a couple of tunes!
We’d like to take this opportunity to showcase our newest conversation-friendly dinner music option, featured while guests are enjoying their meal. Dayna, Jae, Tim, and Barry sound amazing on these tunes that we’ve specifically arranged for our vocal team, along with acoustic guitar and cajon. If you’re looking for something unique that will impress your guests, check this out:
Tom & Juliana, it was such an honor to celebrate with your families again. Can’t wait to see you soon!

When a family invites you back for a third wedding, it’s truly the ultimate honor. We were thrilled to celebrate with Ashley & Joe at a space that’s new to us, the Museum of Broadcast Communications.
What a great venue! With seamless coordination by the team of BCR Events, this was a celebration that made us smile all night long.
Ashley, a million thanks for the kind words on yelp! It’s always such a pleasure to play for your family 🙂
The Chris Sarlas Orchestra is THE BEST. Our priority for our wedding was a fun party with a packed dance floor, and the band absolutely delivered. The band kept our guests dancing all night long until closing, and we had numerous compliments during (and they’ve kept coming after) the wedding about how great the band was. The band played two of my sisters’ weddings as well, and we loved them so much we actually chose our wedding date around the band’s availability! And we are so happy we did. Chris is a pleasure to work with – he’s professional and accommodating to our requests and our wishes. We also had the band’s string quartet play our ceremony music. They did an amazing job too, and Carol was extremely helpful in recommending music to fit with our taste. I wouldn’t hire any other band!
